2. Editorial Independence

DAPresses maintains complete editorial independence. Dialogic Solutions Limited grants independence to Editors and reviewers in line with global best practices. Editorial decisions are based solely on:

  • Research quality with clear contributions to the field.
  • Methodological robustness to facilitate reproducibility and repeatability.
  • Relevance to cutting edge global scholarship.
  • Contribution to innovation and societal problem solving.

The ethos of open communication and customer-focused collaboration at Dialogic guides editor–author engagement but does not influence editorial outcomes. We wish to make doing research and publishing scientifically sound results easy and affordable to publish so that findings can contribute to the knowledge economy in furtherance of human civilisation.

Academic integrity is highly recommended to maintain high quality of knowledge creation, curation and consumption. Retractions for ethical breaches are implemented to discourage unethical behaviours in scientific publications. Retraction notices remain publicly accessible.

5.4 Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools and Generative AI (GENAI)

DAPresses understands that AI tools are becoming part of the research infrastructure. The policy of DAPresses is disclosure. Under acknowledgement, authors should disclose what, why and how they used AI tools in the research. Any manuscript that is significantly generated with GENAI will be rejected. We encourage authors to see AI tools as tools for co-creativity, co-productivity and co-reflection to reduce the cognitive cost of research. Overreliance on GENAI will accumulate cognitive debts and reduce the creativity, originality, human-touch and ingenuity that are necessary for using research to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
