1. Mission and Scope

DAPresses advances scholarly knowledge through widening participation, scientific rigor, interdisciplinary research, and evidence-based innovation. The publishing programme is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and UNESCO open science ambitions, with a strong focus on equitable access to knowledge.

The platform prioritises high-impact work in STEM, social innovation, environmental sustainability, economy, policy, peace, human rights, governance, management, and institutions, while supporting scholarship that crosses systems boundaries.

2. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit and are protected from political, institutional, or commercial influence.

  • Research quality and contribution to the field
  • Methodological robustness and reproducibility
  • Relevance to current scholarship
  • Contribution to innovation and societal problem-solving

The Dialogic ethos encourages open communication with authors, but it does not override editorial judgment.

3. Submission Policies

DAPresses accepts a broad range of scholarly outputs intended to inform, educate, guide, and support global knowledge creation and use.

  • Journal articles and reviews
  • Monographs and books
  • Conference proceedings and technical reports
  • Editorials, lecture notes, and theses
  • Other materials that contribute to open knowledge and sustainable development

Submissions must be original, plagiarism-free, transparently evidenced, properly formatted, and written in clear scholarly English.

Preprints may be considered where disclosure is made and republication is permissible. Simultaneous submission elsewhere is prohibited.

4. Peer Review Policies

DAPresses uses open or single-blind review models that emphasise fairness, transparency, and quality feedback.

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and disclose conflicts of interest
  • Feedback should be constructive, evidence-based, and improvement-oriented
  • Editorial outcomes are documented and communicated clearly
  • Decisions typically fall into Reject, Major Revision, Minor Revision, or Accept

Manuscripts may move through multiple rounds of revision where reviewer feedback remains unresolved.

5. Research Ethics and Integrity

DAPresses aligns with COPE-style expectations for research ethics, disclosure, and responsible publishing conduct.

  • Human and animal research must meet appropriate ethical standards
  • Informed consent and data protection requirements must be respected
  • Fabricated, falsified, or manipulated data are prohibited
  • Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose conflicts of interest
  • Retractions, corrections, and investigations are handled transparently when needed

DAPresses permits disclosed AI-assisted language support, but significantly generated manuscripts, fabricated citations, or undisclosed misuse of AI tools may lead to rejection.

6. Copyright, Licensing, and Reuse

  • Authors retain copyright unless a different agreement is signed
  • Open-access publication is supported through Creative Commons licensing
  • Authors are responsible for permissions relating to third-party material

Published work should remain reusable and discoverable while respecting licensing terms and attribution requirements.

7. Data Sharing and Scientific Transparency

DAPresses encourages open datasets, clear methods, reproducibility, and supplementary material sharing where appropriate. These practices strengthen trust, enable interdisciplinary understanding, and improve long-term scholarly value.

8. Production and Publication Process

DAPresses provides professional copyediting, technical editing, figure and data checks, and production support designed to improve publication quality.

  • Authors review proofs before publication
  • Only essential factual corrections are permitted after typesetting
  • Workflow stages are designed to simplify complexity and support researcher capacity-building

9. Indexing, Discoverability, and Accessibility

  • Each publication is assigned a DOI
  • Metadata quality is treated as a core production responsibility
  • Long-term digital archiving is used to support ongoing access
  • DAPresses promotes inclusion, anti-discrimination, and accessibility across the publishing experience

The platform encourages contributions from diverse global regions and disciplines, including proposals for special issues and reports.

10. Appeals, Complaints, and Post-Publication Policies

Authors may appeal decisions with clear justification, and complaints are handled through a transparent process aligned with publishing ethics standards.

  • Minor errors may be corrected promptly
  • Major issues can lead to corrigenda, errata, or retractions
  • Retractions may occur whenever unresolved ethical or methodological harm is identified
  • Versioned or updated publication formats may be supported for rapidly evolving fields

All complaints and appeals can be directed to info@dialogicsl.com.
