Research and Innovation Support
DORIF is an open innovation fund representing the Research and Development (R&D) strategy budget of Dialogic Solutions Ltd. Academics, researchers, students, organisations, communities, and innovators may access DORIF for a range of open objectives, subject to the fund's terms and conditions.
Dialogic Solutions Ltd supports the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science and promotes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for sustainable global development.

Opportunity areas
The following initiatives may be supported under DORIF, subject to the relevant terms and conditions.
Opportunity 1
Research in which the results, outputs, and methods are published under a CC BY licence, making them accessible to everyone globally without subscription barriers. Projects must be co-created with the R&D Unit of Dialogic Solutions Ltd to ensure novelty, originality, impact, and methodological rigour. An example is the Design and Make Challenge 2025 (DMC2025), which was executed using the Open Partnerships model.
Opportunity 2
DORIF can support Article Processing Charges (APCs) for academics, researchers, and PhD students publishing in DAPresses. This includes the DAPresses APC Self-Assessment Scheme (DAPAPCS), under which authors may self-assess and propose how much they can afford to pay if their manuscript is accepted after peer review.
Opportunity 3
Support for STEM project consumables, components and parts, hardware lease, software subscriptions, and related items. The project must be hosted in a virtual environment, accessible to stakeholders, built around SMART objectives, and backed by evidence-based impacts.
Opportunity 4
Support for conferences that will lead to open-access proceedings, including travel for conferences where DAPresses papers are presented, open conference registration fees, travel and logistics contributions, and mobile data support for virtual participation in conferences, summits, symposia, expert panels, or technical meetings.
Opportunity 5
An open conversation podcast through which academics, researchers, innovators, and PhD students discuss their ideas, publications, research, innovations, and commercialised ideas. Recordings are made available on the Dialogic Interchange Channel, and participants may request limited mobile data support on a case-by-case basis.
Opportunity 6
In support of SDG 17, DORIF is available to partner and collaborate on diverse research, innovation, and commercialisation efforts across the globe with governmental institutions, non-governmental organisations, corporations, groups, and individuals.
Opportunity 7
Limited funding to explore ideas related to open research, open publications, open projects, open conferences, open partnerships, and related areas. DORIF is intended to create a safe, non-judgmental context where people can test bold ideas even when the outcome is uncertain.
